Expired Kurdistan

Just before Christmas of 2021, I was an 18-year-old backpacker who for some reason ended up in Iraq for about a month. I had bought a disposable camera in Europe a couple weeks prior expecting to use it in bars and clubs and whatnot but ended up using it across the Kurdish region of Iraq. Thinking it was broken once I got home the camera was put in a drawer and forgotten about for around five years until it was found and developed in 2026. The photographs are neither good in composition nor quality but act as a playful through back to a world emerging from lockdowns and my first venture into the middle east.
